Associate Attorney

Before joining Easley Family Law, Marissa was an associate with a large family law firm where she guided clients through divorce, custody, and family abuse prevention act matters. Marissa advised clients in high-conflict and high-asset cases regarding asset division, spousal support, child custody, and parenting time issues. Marissa represented clients in court as well as during mediation. Marissa’s intelligence, emotional IQ and personable demeanor give her the ability to understand complex financial and emotional issues, while also providing her clients with a sense of calm and capable guidance.

Prior to this, Marissa gained valuable experience outside of family law which contributed to her ability to address difficult situations and emotionally charged cases. Marissa previously worked at a criminal defense firm representing indigent clients in misdemeanor cases and the Department of Justice Child Advocacy Section where she helped protect abused, neglected, and abandoned children.

Marissa received her bachelor’s degree from University of California Los Angeles in 2017 and her Juris Doctor from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2020.

In her spare time, Marissa enjoys reading, watching series on Netflix, attending barre classes, and hiking in the Pacific Northwest with her fiancé.
